Reason: I was having vaccations from college and I was trying to make the most out of my holidays and enjoying to the max. Another reason is that I bought Sony PlayStation 3 :80 GB recently ! Thats my first (good) buy from my internet earnings.

It cost me 25,000 INR with one game “MotorStorm: Pacific Rift” included in the bundle. I also got a complementary game, “Resistance :Fall Of Man“.

Needless to say, both the games are awesome,specially Motor Storm. I always wanted my racing game to be fast and furious. Whatever you say, racing games do not give me zip-zap-zoom kinda feel on my pc (my fav racing game before this was NFS 2: SE and I play a lot of games ). I wanted a racing game where cars actually go fast and boy, was my wish fullfilled. I will try to post a few screenshots of MotorStorm later. Yeah there are games like Grid, Burnout series but they dont play well on my 8400 GS 512 MB! lol. I need not worry no more. I have the ultimate in gaming.

Though I have a hard time convincing that it is not just a “video game” that costs 25k! It is a Blu-Ray player that can play your media at full HD (1080p). Its a complete media package and can play most A/V formats as well as image formats, I can surf internet at high speeds using IEEE 802.11 b/g wi-fi.

Twestival which is a global event being organised in 175 countries on 12 Feb 2009 was concluded succesfully in Delhi.

In case you dint follow my previous blog post on Twestival ,and still dont know what Twestival is:

On 12 February 2009 175+ cities around the world will be hosting Twestivals which bring together Twitter communities for an evening of fun and to raise money and awareness for charity: water.

charity: water is a non profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations by funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need.

I reached the venue, Eros Corporate Tower, Nehru Place at 1730 hrs but parking problems made sure i dint enter the Microsoft (sponsore for the Delhi Twestival) office on 5th floor till about almost 1800hrs. ANyway,before going in i thought of clicking a picture of the venue(Eros Tower) which itself was really nice.

So about 20 tweople showed up for the event (i dont remember the exact number). I (@knayam) met @baxiabhishek (the organiser of the event,thank you Abhishek for all the hard work) ,@simplyarun (from slideshare), @kg86, @mba_piyush, @rishumehra, @joe_nayyar, @jasdeep, @anshumanchadda, @guptashashank, @nilanjangupta @samratkakkar and others whom twitter handle i dont know. People who are not on Twitter were present there too so that they can learn a thing or two about it.

We discussed about Twitter, charity: water for which gathered, twitter tools, brands on twitter and many more things. people told interesting stories about them and twitter. Like @kg86 told how he got hooked to Twitter (He was in the hospital and was to attend a concert in his city. He tweeted about the ticket and was replied by another tweep that tickets are going to be sold soon. He (kg86) replied back and the other person booked the ticket for kg86 (Kumar gautam) and they had a tweetup and kg86 got his ticket.SInce then kg86 took twitter seriously ).

One of the ways to support the charity was to buy a tee shirt and I ordered one for myself @ 400 INR which is very less as compared to international price which is $20. Many other tweople also ordered tee shirts to support the charity and some money was also colelcted.

All the funds raised from the Twestivals around the world will go to charity: water. Microsoft provided us the infrastructure and refreshments so whatever was collected goes solely to the charity.

The event started at near 1900hrs (IST,pun intended) and ended at around 2130hrs. Thought few of us kept discussing other things too after the event.

Indiblogger organised a Delhi Blogger Meet in CR Park Delhi on 8th Sep 2008 which was a saturday. I signed up for the event at their website and was veryeagerly waiting for the moment as this was going to be my first blogging meet after dwelling in the blogging world for almost one year.

On the day, i landed up on the venue half an hour earlier ( as asked by Renie, one of the event organiser) to lend a helping hand. I met a person while entering the building and came to know later that he owns a few (not completely) adult blogs. Anyway, we entered the hall and greeted 3-4 people standing there. We then also prepared a 1-2 minute long skit. In the meantime people kept pouring in and organisers kept waiting for few more to come so that we have a decent strength and can kick start the evening. In the meantime we kept interacting with the fellow bloggers. I met Anand, who is an avid reader and writes book reviews on his blog, i met Abhishek who also has a photo blog.
Finally the evening, which was slated to start at 5:00 PM, started at 5:45 PM by intro given by Indiblogger team. IBNMS guys also gave a short intro.We were also fortunate to view a video made by a Pune blogger for Pune Blogger Meet.It was very inspiring.

After that, we all had our 1 minute of fame in which we spoke about ourselves and our blogs. It was fun. People told interesting bits about their blogging expirience, how they started their journey, how long they have been blogging and also which blogs they read. One of the bloggers told he started blogging from a cyber cafe. It was fun and informative. Then we headed for Pizza session and mingled all the time while munching Pizza and sipping coke. I met a person frm my college, Abhinav aka Photoshopper. He has nice photoshopping skills and he designed me the current logo for this blog,free! As the attendance was low, there were more pizzas then bloggers so the organisers aksed us to help them finish the pizzas.Me and some others gladly accepted the offer.

Then came the discussion on ethical blogging. People spoke their minds on everything. I spoke about my expirience with paid blogging and how it changed my PR.

The event ended after it and people left with some promising voices to meet again in near future without the banner.
That was a great expirience. Ofcourse i enjoyed because it was my first blogger meet but also because it gave me a chance to interact with people in real life.

This is just a fill-in post for telling all my readers that i will be right back once im finished with my end sem exams and will update the blog soon.

Wana know why?

Because of this “thing” in my bedroom.

I was going to the switch panel to switch on the fan so that i can study when something on the wall caught my attention and discovered this spider as huge as…as….ehh.? wat? I don know,i cant remember anything right now to compare its size with. I said WTF!!!

You call me anything but i cant sleep with that huge spider on the wall of my bedroom. No,i cant “kill” it you know because i am against cruelty to animals and im a PETA activist. Alright,im just too scared by it to even go near it and you are talking about killing it?

Now i will have to kill around 3 hours on net(thats not at all a problem)with an eye spying on the “thing” that its not getting closer to m,till my dad gets up in the morning and i go to his bed and sleep while he does something about this spider.
I have no idea what spider this is.Anybody has any idea?

And starting from tomorrow are me end sem exam.
