Terror strikes in Pune

Sat, Feb 13, 2010

National, News

A bomb blast has once again shocked India, this time in Pune. About 8 people have been killed and over 30 injured (including foreigners).
The blast happened at around 7pm in a popular bakery in Koregaon Park. The place is generally crowded as there is a Osho ashram nearby.
This is the first major terror strike in the country after the shocking terror siege of mumbai on 26 November 2008.
India and Pakistan were also moving ahead towards the talking tables since there were no attacks after 26/11. A foreign secretary level talk between the two countries was also scheduled for 25 February. Indian govt justified the talks on the ground that there had been no terror attacks since 26/11.
Looks like the ice is not going to melt, for now atleast.
