Access Gmail offline

Mon, Feb 2, 2009

Gmail just gets better and better. This time its something fresh. Gmail users can now access their Gmail accounts even when they are offline. This has been introduced as an experimental feature in labs, which since its birth is giving us many great features to love the mail service even more.
If you are a gmail user, you just need to go to the labs tab and enable the feature “Offline”. Gmail will then locally cache Gmail on your computer using Google gears and you will be able to use Gmail without a internet connection. You can read, label, and even compose mails as you would do normally and gmail will sync your activity when the next time you connect to the internet.

To use this feature, you will need Firefox v 1.5+ or Internet Explorer v 6.0 and up.

A mod more than anything means better battery life and usually means you can buy cheaper batteries (at other places that aren’t related to e-cigarettes, you pay a premium at the end of the day to get an e-cigarette designed/compatible battery). I haven’t refilled a cartridge in several months I actually just keep throwing liquid on top of my cartridges until they aren’t working too well, but most people use polyester fiber. You can get a cheap flammable pillow or non-treated pillow and/or just the filling for under $5 at Walmart which should me more than a lifetime supply. Worst case scenario when you order add a note that says something like, “Throw in some poly fill,” and we’ll throw some in with your order.
