Obama wins US presidential election

Democrat Barack Obama, the senator from Illinois has made history by becoming the first black president of United States Of America. He defeated his rival, the Republican John McCain by a convincing margin. The win signifies victory of the will of American people who showed up in huge numbers to vote for a “change”. The results also showed public rejection of Bush and his policies.

Obama who is just 44  years old will be the 44th president of US and will be sworn as the president in Januray 2009.

    I find it weird that Obama in his reaction to the terrorist attack in Mumbai has gone on and on about democracy! Democracy is hardly in danger in India. I think it shows how little he understands India.
