In an expected development, the president of Pakistan, Mr. Pervez Musharraf today resigned from his post, ending possibility of a impeachment being tried on him. Had he not step down,he would have faced impeachment charges and would have to ultimately being “forced” to step down. He chose to resign himself in view of countrie’s interest and because he dint want a Prez house to go through impeachment procedure,or so he says.

Once army chief and a very strong and important ally of US in the war against terror has now a few options open. He can go to Saudi Arabia,Uk,US,Turkey,or may be some other friendly country. Where he actually goes, remains to be seen.

The man who is both admired and hated for his deeds has a few major historic developments over the last decade or so.

He was the army chief when under his guard, army toppled the government of the then PM Nawaz Sharif while he was abroad. Same Nawaz Sharif is now in the coalition government that is currently running in Pakistan(PPP+PML).He obviously wanted Musharraf out, right from the beginning.

Musharraf then was a important US ally in war against terror. He even imposed an emergency in Pakistan. The man himself, after much time, conducted elections in Pakistan and gifted democracy back to the country.

lets see where fate takes him to.
