iPhone 3G launching on 22 Aug in India

Its confirmed now.
Both the private biggies in the India telecom sector, Vodafone and AIrtel have announced that they will launch iPhone 3G on August 22.
The key features:

* Apple 2.0 firmware
* GPS support
* Connectivity: Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), UMTS, HSDPA, GSM / EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz), Bluetooth 2.0
* Faster internet. Upto 36 times than comparable Nokia phones.
* Push e-mail from MobileMe
* 3rd party apps
* 2.0 MP cam (but without flash)

Downsides:

* No video recording
* No MMS
* No java application support
* No radio
* Bluetooth without A2DP
* No front cam for video calls
* No flash

Price can be speculated to be around 20,000 INR, (+- 4,000 INR).

If you want to make heads turn by your phone,want to make a style statement, admirer of sleek and beautiful gadgets, dont worry much then iPhone is for you.

And if you weigh features over looks and style, there are plaenty of better options available in the market!
