Internet, News

According to the latest reports, China has de throned the US from its number one spot in terms of which country has more netizens or more internet using population. It was a distinction which US was enjoying from quite some time.

Latest stats from China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), as many as 253 million Chinese were online in the month of June against 223 million Americans as told by Nielson Online.95% of those online 253 million people accessed internet using high speed connections

This was bound to happen someday anyway because of the booming economy and the population advantage China has. One more fact that is interesting is that net penetration in China was only 19% as compared to 71% in US. That suggests China will largely overwhelm US in this regard. By 2011, China is expected to hit 490 million internet user mark.

SO how does that affect you as a blogger?

Well, as a blogger or a website owner you understand the importance of search engine visitors. So now that you know that China has more users than US. So why dont you see Chinese traffic in your web analytics window? Why there are so less visits from China using Google?
