This is nothing new and there have been rants about this ever since its existence.
I recently went to IGI( Indira Gandhi International) airport to receive a friend of mine. This was my first visit after about 10+ years and (i can say things havent changed) the first time i went i was too young and dint go too far in.
I went with my few friends to IGI on 8th March.We reached there at 5.30 am and as expected the flight was late by about 3 hours. So we had to wait. We dint go inside the waiting lounge and decided to wait outside only.
The scene was utter chaos.Mis-management all around.No cleanliness,no civic amenities….err no wait…they had but not the kind of you expect on a intl’ airport of capital of country progressing as fast as India. Now here we can say India is “developing” ,we should be patient and all but i differ. Airport gives the first impression to the visitors and tourists so it should be better if not good( i saw a board there promising a world class airport). when we felt hungry we could not find a place to eat…oh wait there was…. A canteen. We could only get ourself a samosa as most of things were unavailable at that time.

Then, finally we found another place to eat near the parking. One aloo parantha was Rs. 20! And the scene: 
It looked no better than a government hospital.

Dude that is railway station..(you can have numerous excuse for having a railway station like that in India,not that it has to be that way but this is India…)
but the international airport of the “capital” of the country..
i cudnt digest that…

man it is the worst airport i’ll say and not only the the canteens but also the parking cost is extreme high i think the IGI Airport Author. should take some action or else the common wealth games which will gonna start will not be successful.

Well,you are right. Parking in front of the airport building is high(if i could remember it was either Rs. 50 or 150.
But they have another parking just walking disance away from the main building,where we parked and where(open) the canteen in picture(pic 5,6&7) is.
Authorities…? They are like always,sleeping.
BTW,there was a sign board that i saw aplogising for the “inconvenience” caused and promising that new airport will be ready soon,but till then “bear with us” it said.
