India’s only WTA title winner, Sania Mirza,despite of her injuries and inconsistency has managed a feat,she has,now become Asia’s #1 women tennis player.
Her Australian Open performance(she reached third round) has helped her climb to 29th spot with 931 WTA points.She is now ahead of China’s Li Na,who is now at 32nd position.
Her doubles ranking,however,have dropped to 23,slipping 5 slots.

u r de best sports person for me in the whole of india,in fact for me ur de best in the whole world, i just hope that u have a lot of success in the future and all the best for u. i imagine one day u beating great stars like jusine hennin and maria sharapova and ana chak.
