This year again two women were molested in Mumbai on new year’s eve. They were molested by about 60-80 perverts.
They were walking towards Juhu beach at about 1:45 AM with their two male friends after coming from hotel JW Marriott when a mob of about 40 people started following them. The mob started teasing them & made lewd comments on them. One of the victim showed some worthy courage and shouted back on the nutheads. But the mob had,by now, grown to about 80 now and was out of its senses. The mob tried to push the women in a building and even said,”try to escape from your molestation and humiliation”.Both the girls now thinking that it could be more trouble inside, ran towards footpath.
There the crowd surrounded them near a vehicle and a tree. A person(they do not qualify to be called men/man) tore the black dress of one of the girls. Their male friends were trying to safeguard their female friends, but were helpless in front of 80 animals. The girls fell down and the crowd jumped over them.
At this moment,a newspaper cameraman sighted a police van and shouted for help. In came a Senior Inspector, and he dispersed the mob(i hope they went back to their deserved homes, either zoo or asylums because they are not a part of civilised society).
Whole incident was captured by two newspaper cameramen. I saw the photographs and i decided against putting them on my site.
I wish there was a mob of 160 people there who would have beaten the crap out of those wolves.
In Delhi,Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s two sons indulged in similar acts too,but they were, thank goodness, not so lucky. The guys out there taught them a good lesson in South Delhi. The crowd there dint knew they were railways minister’s sons as the PSO(personal security officer) dint revealed their identities sensing the seriousness of the incident. The two indulged in eve teasing first at ASHOKA hotel and then at Connaught Place. They passed comments on some girls in Mehrauli when they were returning when a group of youth thrashed them up.
In another unfortunate incident, a Swedish 15 year old girl was molested in Cochin. Her family on vacation to India were celebrating new year with some foreigners when this occured. Her father was who was giving an interview to a local channel said in a state of shock,”
“While I was talking to you guys only, a young man grabbed my daughter’s behind. How can such a thing be allowed to happen? “If you want people to come and see your beautiful country then such things have to be prevented. Now I have to think twice or thrice before I can bring my children here.”
What impression are we leaving on the minds of our guests?
A similar incident happened on new year’s eve last year when a women was molested by similar hooligans on Gateway of India.
What is with us guys?Cant we respect our women. Cant we give them freedom? They will say they were drunk but will they do the same thing at their homes if they were drunk? There can be no damn excuse for hideous crimes like this.

Indeed it is.Whats even more disappointing is the attitude of administration, police towards such cases.Last year this happened, nothing much was done.People think like they can do anything they want because they dont have fear of being punished.
Just spare a though for those….

1st of all, I am Pragith, and not Mayank. I had to use your username to comment quickly, sorry for that.
Secondly, I completely blame the girls for going out at night. The example to prove this is simple.
Imagine that you want a crack for a software(just like taking a walk at mid-night), and you very well know that these websites as well as the cracks have viruses embedded in them (just like those guys who teased them), will you still go and download them? Well, if you are a complete zero in computers, then of course you will and without any doubt will get affected. (The same thing happened to me even after having Avast Antivirus :P)
EVERYONE (including the African tribes who are still untouched by civilization) knows that strolling at these times can cause harm to girls, and still if they go (WAH! to their guts), then whom will you blame?
Always remember one thing, “YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTS”. This line goes to those teasers also, they were responsible for their cheap acts (I am not defending them).

You mean we have every right to wear anything, roam anywhere we want at any time,do whatever we want to but our women can not do so?

Indeed this thing sucks. Those uneducated people have no brain at all and yes calling them animals is absolutely correct, I think these people should be shot dead, as this will fix lot of problems…1. India will have less population 2. India will be saved from all this guilt. 3. India will have a society which we always brag about but unfortunately the truth is not as sweet as we talk about it.

Dude, there are two ways of looking at things. Perhaps I didn’t mention my point clearly. So here it goes :-
Case - 1 - SOURCE
The Girls roaming at mid-night with their husbands/cousins whatever. Is it right to roam at mid-night knowing its unsafe?
And, I was talking in root level. That, when the source is killed, then these mishaps won’t happen at all. So, my point is the girls shouldn’t roam at these odd times.
Case - 2 - SURFACE
The Police and the mob come under this case. I 100% agree with everyone that cheap behavior was shown by both of them. Please note that I am not at all defending them. What I want to tell is that you guys are only and only talking about this 2nd case.
Conclusion -
> Proper culture should be given to girls (including care and precaution)
> Strict action to be taken against the mob AS WELL AS against the cops
> You surely got a good amount traffic to your blog

But these things happen in broad day light as well.Even to girls/women wearing salwar-suits,saree?
Its not just about the time. These things happen everytime.
okay i got that you are not defending the offenders but also pay heed to the fact that time is “not” a factor. These perverts just need a chance

@ Pragith
You r absolutely correct about the TIME (BUT unfortunately u r correct ONLY upto here).
Because let me tell u that v consider UNSAFE night as sky without sun and roads without people(isolated), whereas in this case the roads were not at all isolated, in fact a large group of 80 ppl were there.
Usually when v see a large group of ppl, v feel safe with them and so as those girls thought and ran towards the road and not towards the building.BUT their hard luck ALL those 80 ppl were ANIMALS.
January 3rd, 2008 at 3:58 pm
And talking about roaming at night, well buddy let me tell u that roaming at night for a girl is bad IF she is alone and IF she roams without any reason, NOW again u can c in this case that there were two and not one girl, moreover they were with two MALE guys and the reason for their roaming is clear as glass buddy - New Year eve.
They may have a habit of roaming in usual days too, but the incident happened on new year eve, when it was least expected as there should a large group of ppl everywhere on a new year night (it was there but as i already said all 80 ppl were really ANIMALS), so when talking about that particular day, the fault is only and only of those 80 F***ers.

i dont know what to say..
those who did this arent civilized enough and need any treatment which can prevent them to even think of this again..
and those who are giving reasons and defending them aremore than what we call civilized..they require anything which can bring them back to earth..
not only mumbai..but almost at every place we can find such acts..if not to such extent..passing comments..and watching continuosly at girls..are the common things..they have become so common..that people feel it’s normal!!
i was shocked when i heard the statement by a lady police officer at delhi university ” ki DU ki girls ko to ab tak is cheez ki adat pad jani chahiye..”
girls are asked not to wear bold clothes or something..its not because they look vulgar or anything..it’s just because “girls dont wear such clothes..boys arent good here..!”
if not good..dont be bad atleast..loosers..
